AKART

“The Divine word evoked the existence of all things. This is the Force of the liberation of the Breath of Life. The thoughts of the Great Spirit displayed by this Force are expressed in the perceivable form. This form is the self-expression of the artistic Spirit. The expression of this artistic Spirit gives the gift of the realization of the Breathing of Life. We never lose that this is the way…” — Alexander Kastulin

Clayshapes Pottery

My work is defined by colour, and the varied and intricate surface designs that I create on my slab built work. I love both texture and colour, and am always on the look out for objects that will make a mark in clay. My collections change with the season, but my current obsession is creating “carpet” trays – pieces that have designs reminiscent of antique orientale carpets.

Curious Bird Pottery

Curious Bird Pottery features Handmade Pottery, Ceramic Jewelry and Clocks that are functional, beautiful, and made to be used every day! I enjoy throwing bowls, mugs and vessels on the wheel while trays, clocks and jewelry are hand built and textured using found objects or hand carved linoplates. Contrasting intricate surface textures with clean forms create modern pieces that hint of traditions from the past.

KWP Design

My sculpture explores the use and reuse of materials with previous lives and functions that are given a new life and form. Fragments of one world are brought into the next, in an effort to provoke thought, trigger memory and to connect past and present.

Studio Mikafleur

My work is a unique fusion of floral elements and pottery. All items are designed and crafted by me. My pottery is created using both hand building and wheel throwing techniques. I use orchids, succulents and air plants to bring life into the human environment, while incorporating my unique pottery vessels in a contemporary style that is both pleasing to the eye and whimsical. I also make wonderful little tea pots, cups and bud vases for your favourite blooms.
