7 reasons to visit the 2015 Danforth East (Community) Arts Fair

There are a hundred reasons why you should visit, but here are 7.

Julie Glick Painting

An exhibition of works based on neighbourhood canines was so much fun and such a success that I thought I would be happy just painting dogs. Now my commissioned pet paintings have been in demand ever since.

I.M. Wyred

Along with knitted wire jewellery, I. M. Wyred also designs an array of eco conscience necklaces and earrings using tagua seeds, acai seeds, wood and recycled newspaper.

Today is the first day of Art of the Danforth!
Both #AoD2016 and #DECAF16 are free late summer events that bring public art to #Danfortheast. And both receive support from the Danforth East Community Association (#DECA).
But there are some differences between these two equally awesome events!

DECAF: East Lynn Park, 1949 Danforth

Art of the Danforth: Wong, Adam Kinner, Christopher Willes, Marjan Verstappen, and the Madeleine Co. collective are among the artists exploring the theme of "fault lines".

DECAF: dozens of artisans offering unique handmade items such as clothing, soaps, fine art, home decor, kids stuff and more. Plus, there are yummy snacks and live entertainment.
